Regensburg in one of the most well kept historical medieval cities in Germany.
This Ironman will be first held in 2010 and has 2 transition areas.
A one loop swim in a small lake called Guggenberger around 8 miles 12.5 km from Regensburg
2 loop bike
The first 25km is hilly then next 40km is flat thru the National Park of the Bavarian forest.
The run is 4 loops around the city
THE FINISH LINE
The finish is by the Bridge over looking the magnificent medieval church
Expect it to be hot but prepare for many seasons in one day.
Average temperatures for August from 68F (20 C) to high 87F (31 C)
In 2010 there will be 50 slots for professional men females and age group athletes for the Ford Ironman World championships October 9th 2010 in Kona Hawaii.
