FEMALE RUNNING.
Woman represented only about 15% of the runners in 1970’s. Now there are Female only events. Women can train as much as men and many of the best female runners can beat most of the men. During long steady runs with a friend make sure you are both able to keep up a conversation.
If you can then you are running at 65-70%, which is considered to be a good pace to run to learn how to use fat for fuel.
Female runners tend to over pronate than men. More women than men over pronate than men due to having wider hips. The bigger the difference from the hip to the knee causes the knee to be put under pressure. Feet are then wider apart than the knee resulting in the foot over pronating. Knee problems are also common caused by over pronoting, also flat feet people are more likely overpronate. When the foot rolls inward it causes more strain on the leg muscles resulting in soreness especially when having massage. Seek expert advice with a running specialist. Individual running style can change have it checked on a regular basis.
WET FOOT TEST.
Wet your feet then walk on dry, flat surface. Look to see if you have flat feet, high arch, different arch with each foot.
