Ice cube treatment
Wrap an ice cube in a cloth and apply to the injured area.
Keep moving the ice cube over the injured area. Only ice the area up to 15 minutes NO LONGER to avoid frostbite as this will damage the tissues.
NEVER just place the ice cube on one spot for more than 15 seconds.
Move in circles from the middle to outside then back again.
Raise the injured area above the heart while icing and for 5-15 minutes afterwards to keep down the swelling.
Best kept secret.
The reason why ice may not work is because you fail to do the following straight after.

Ice treatment tips.
In no particular order.
Method 1 – Wrap and ice cube in cloth and rub on area to be treated. An ice cube will usually melt within 10 minutes so this avoids over icing the area.
Method 2 - Crushed Ice or ice cubes in a zip lock bag with a small amount of water to help wrap around the area.
Method 3 – Use a frozen vegetable pack (peas) sometimes you can over ice the area as this ice pack takes longer to melt than you should treat the area.
Method 4 – Fill plastic cups with water in the freezer and use when required. Remove the lid and ice.
Method 5 – Medical Gel packs kept frozen can be re used time and time again.
