The Watt bike is considered to be the most accurate & reliable static bike to show powers.
The power you generate on the pedals gives you power information from each leg.
The smoother you are the more stable the power will be, if you just push down then the power will fluctuate considerably.

Wattbikes Set up
I could write a book about correct bike set up. You need to consider what sport you are training for if you want to replicate as closely as you can if you are a, BMX rider, Cylo-Cross, Gym Fit, Endurance cyclist, Leisure cyclist, Mountain bike rider, Track rider, Triathlete or Time Trial specialist,

Saddle Height
A common easy to use formula is 106 to 107.5% of your inside inseam – distance between your crutch and the ground with your bare feet 6 inches apart (14-15cm)
For example if you are 100cm,
Draw an imaginary line from the middle of the saddle (where you will sit) down to the spindle where the pedal is attached (the crank is furthest away from saddle) and this needs to be 106 to 107cm
Training sessions using a Watt Bike.

Key focus
Smooth pedaling action, same power for each leg, avoid power jumping up and down.
What Mark thinks about Watt Bikes?
Mark has used the Watt bike on many occasions and finds the ride the most natural of any static bike he has used over the last 30 years.
Mark has been using a power meter for more than 8 years and again the power figures produced and displayed by the Watt Bike closely resemble the numbers he records when cycling on the road. Mark feels that the Watt bike will improve cycle fitness much better than other static bikes.
