Directions to the Olympic park

Directions to the Olympic park
According to the official London web site you need to travel by public transport.
During a London Prepares event I drove to the nearest car park and then walked.
During the Olympics I doubt if there will be any spaces available in this car park.

I was sent this for a London Prepares event. The details may change for 2012 July & August during the Olympic Games.
Travelling to the venue
Please use public transport to travel to the Olympic Park, as there is no parking at the venue. Spectators should travel to Stratford station and then follow the signs to the Olympic Park entrance, via Westfield Stratford City shopping centre.
Spectators are advised to arrive at the entrance of the Olympic Park at least 75 minutes prior to the start of the session, to ensure enough time for security screening and accessing the venue.
Stratford station is served by London Underground, DLR, London Over ground, National Rail and London’s bus network.
Although bicycles are not allowed into the Olympic Park, there is public cycle parking outside Stratford Station.
Arriving at the venue
To enter the Olympic Park, spectators will need to adhere to access instructions and security protocols.
Check for restricted and prohibited items
On arrival at the designated entry point, spectators will be asked to pass through an airport-style security screening area before using the dedicated route to the venue. If, for any reason, a spectator refuses to go through the security screening area, they will not be permitted access into the Park and will not be offered a refund.
Accessibility
All spectators are advised to travel to the venue by public transport. The London Underground Jubilee and Central lines at Stratford station are step free, as are DLR, National Rail and London Over ground platforms at this station. Further information can be found on the Transport for London website.
Blue Badge parking is available in Newham. Visit the Newham Council website for more details.
A free accessible shuttle bus will be operating from Stratford station to the entrance of the Olympic Park.
After the security screening at the entrance of the Olympic Park, spectators will have a route of approximately 150 metres to the venue, which itself is step free. On arrival at the venue, if you need any further assistance to get to your seat, please speak to Event Services staff at the venue.
Accessible toilets are available at the venue.
Inside the venue
Drinks and snacks will be available for purchase on site. As a proud sponsor of London 2012, Visa (debit, credit, prepaid) is the only card accepted at the venue. Cash is also accepted but there will be no cash machines on site.
There will be no readmission to the venue or the Park.
There are toilets and first-aid facilities inside the venue. In addition, the information point will provide competition and venue information, a lost and found service, and buggy and wheelchair storage.
