Barclays London Bike Hire

There are about 300 docking stations in London where a bike can be hired from or left after use.
At each docking station there is a terminal giving details of costs and how the machine works.
For an up to date list of docking stations click on the link below, just keep a mental note when you are cycling about.

How it works – easy steps to hire and go.
1 – First check that the docking station has no light illuminated
2 -Insert your own key into the docking point key slot
3 – Check to see the amber light will illuminate while your account is being verified
4 – As soon as the light turns green unlock your cycle by putting one hand on each handlebars and pull the bike away safely from the docking station (point).
5 – Remove your key from the slot and you are now ready to cycle away.
6 – After use return it to any empty docking station (point) that has no lights illuminated by simply pushing it firmly back into place.
7 – Once the green light appears you have docked your cycle and the system has recognised you have returned your bike to the system.

Please note -No green light and you will still be charged.
